NVYLL Undefeated Champions!
11 Wins - 0 Losses
The start of the season was delayed a month because the ground was still covered with snow. The boys came together and practiced every chance they got on any field they could get time on. Often times practices went until the last rays of sunlight were fading in the cold, windy weather. They were determined from the beginning to prove they could be Champions.
The season ended in a 100+ degree, humid, sun drenched playoff tournament that had everyone melting on and off the field. For three long days the boys played hard while parents tried to keep them hydrated and pumped up with excitement. In the end they stood as the only team to win the Championship AND go Undefeated. We are so proud of Ryan and have as much fun watching him play as he loves playing. We have to thank everyone who came out to cheer...Joann, Sue, The Petro's, Michael and Madison Hoops and Grandpa and Grandma! You drove hours to get to and from games and sat through some crewl weather conditions. And thanks to those that called often for lacrosse updates; sometime even before we arrived home from a game...Aunt Vicki, Aunt Connie, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Keith and Grandma Julie. You each made Ryan feel very special.
Thank you!!!
His Championship jersey has found a special place...it hangs over Pop's autographed Wichita Thunder hockey stick.
