Happy Birthday Ryan!

Mom, Dad and Madelyn love you so much. You continue to make us proud with your accomplishments in school and sports. You are a wonderful person and have such a caring heart. We know you are excited to finally hit the 'double digits' and be a 'decade' old. It has been exciting for us to watch you grow. We cannot wait to see what the future brings (a teenager-ugg-maybe you can just stay 10!)

Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve...Anticipation builds as the kids checked Santa's location on NORADSanta.org all day long. Aunt Connie and Aunt Diane arrived late afternoon. We had a wonderful dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's and went to the candlelight service.

Christmas Morning... We woke to Madelyn in our bed impatiently waiting for Ryan to wake up. She was so anxious she couldn't sleep. The kids were excited to find presents from 'Santa' under the tree although Ryan has now decided 'Santa' might not be all he thinks he is. Kurt and I loved watching the kids open their presents with eagerness and excitement. It didn't take long for Madelyn to discover the guitar she had asked for and Ryan to want to put together all the legos. Ryan cannot wait for the snow to completely melt so he can go out and play street hockey with his new rollerblades and goal.

Ryan loved his Pittsburgh Steelers gear and Madelyn loved her new riding boots.

Madelyn's reaction as she read the letter from us telling her she was going to the Taylor Swift concert. As she realized what the letter was saying her face lit up and her voice got louder and louder until she screamed with excitement.

We think she liked her present!
