Summer Fun in April

Gladiators won today 2-0! We were blessed with the 9am game and by the end it was already getting hot. Who could have guessed we would see 90 degrees in April. Ryan, Maddie and Mom went for Slurpees afterwards to celebrate.

Kurt should be home from Florida any minute. The kids and I have planned a picnic in the backyard for lunch. We will spend the afternoon planting in the new flower bed and getting the veggie garden planted. I'm sure we can find a reason to run to the gardening store so we can stop at our favorite ice cream stand. The promise of an ice cream cone or root beer float always helps with good behavior at the gardening store.

The Gladiators

Here are some pictures from Ryan's first soccer game of the season. The Gladiators are a fantastic team and have recruited some great players. Mom, Dad and Madelyn love to watch Ryan play soccer and we are looking forward to an exciting season.

Ryan wanted everyone, especially Uncle Keith, Uncle Kevin and Uncle Mike, to see this picture. It caught him mid-air as he cleared the ball from the back field.

Madelyn and Emma are in the same Kindergarten class. Their big brothers both play for the Gladiators. They are quite a loud cheering section.
