The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round

The rain stopped just in time for me to snap a few photos before Ryan and Madelyn headed off to their first day of school. They were very excited after meeting their teachers a few days earlier. There were smiles and giggles and butterflies in their tummies. Everyone was looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Here are a few pictures as they head off the the bus stop.

Love the pics---the first day of school is as exciting for parents as it is for the kids. Also loved the huge rose---Is that the one we transplanted? That rose is gorgeous---it cannot compete with the kids but enjoyable to see.
Love,

Julie,
I must admit I still get teary eyed watching them head off to school. Sometimes (often) I wish they would stay young and sweet and cuddily and protected. But at the same time I smile each time they are excited because they have mastered something new.

The rose is the same one we transplanted. It blooms late when everything else is starting to wilt. The roses are big and deep red with curvy petals. They make such a bold statement and yet are so delicate. I just love it.
